Development Coordinator - San Diego

As Development Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in maintaining donor databases, driving fundraising initiatives, and contributing to marketing and event efforts.

Monday-Friday 32-40 hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate donor records and process gifts using Bloomerang-non profit CRM platform
- Assist the Development team with data entry and donor record upkeep with accuracy and consistency
- Handle calls to and from donors, volunteers and staff
- Prepare and send donor acknowledgments
- Support website, social media, and newsletter content
- Assist with event planning, registration, and donor communications
- Represent the organization at events and support PR/marketing efforts
- Perform data cleanup and ensure database integrity
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned by the manager
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Accurate data entry with strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Experience with donor management software (preferably Bloomerang)
- Strong verbal, written, typing, and proofreading skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills in a Windows environment
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends during peak event seasons
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in development, marketing, or related field preferred
- Minimum 6 months of nonprofit or social services experience
- 2+ years working with donor management software
- Valid CA driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and ability to meet licensing requirement
